Alkane Truck Company—OEM Manufacturer of Trucks
Alkane Truck Company, a US truck manufacturer, has emerged as a leader in alternative fuel vehicles that run on liquid propane (LPG) and compressed natural gas (CNG).
Bob Smith, Founder and CEO, is joined by Bill Holcomb, National Sales Manager. Bob and Bill are assisted by a team of competent marketers, suppliers and distributors.
North America has experienced a boom in the use of alternative fuel vehicles over the past decade. This has been in response to rising oil prices, improved transportation infrastructure, and the need for a cleaner, less expensive, domestic fuel source.
Well-known vehicle manufacturers have overhead requirements that make it unfeasible to produce alternative fuel vehicles for what is currently a relatively small market segment. With its limited overhead, Alkane Truck Company is perfectly positioned to serve this market with a series of quality Class 7 trucks, Class 8 trucks and off-road vehicles for many applications of use.
The United States has some of the largest natural gas basins in the World, but has less than 1% of global, operable natural gas vehicles. However, growth in this industry is expected to increase almost 15% per year over the next five years due to the overwhelming reserves of natural gas and the cheap cost of domestically producing it. Also helping to fuel this growth is the potential passing of legislation that will grant tax credits to natural gas vehicle manufacturers, end-consumers, and infrastructure investments.
Now is the time to be looking into the enormous cost-cutting feasibility of propane and natural gas vehicles.
Alkane Truck Company, the South Carolina-based assembler of alternative fuel vehicles, has announced a new business model to establish more than a dozen assembly facilities in the USA, Canada and Mexico. Over the next 36 months, Alkane will be coordinating with economic development offices across North America to identify potential business partners interested in becoming contract assemblers. Local commerce and economic development officials are also assisting Alkane in the search for select sites in areas safe for employees, equipment and inventory.
For an initial licensing fee and a nominal monthly charge, each new owner/operator will be entitled to use the Alkane brand name, Alkane’s EPA, CARB and DOT certificates, as well as the company’s supply chain to assemble and deliver its Class 7 and 8 trucks and the Humvee-style Dominator™. Assembly facilities will be required to pay for and maintain an inventory of parts while Alkane will provide ongoing support and any replacement parts that may be required.
We will provide training for their employees and deliver all components required to assemble Alkane vehicles for direct shipment to our existing and ever-expanding dealership network. Our new business partners will own 100% of their associated assembly facility, so profits generated would be entirely their own; and as owners, they’ll also be the recipients of any state and local incentives offered to new business startups in their respective regions.
Bringing an assembly facility into a community can have an incalculable economic impact—improving the quality of life for local residents, flooding cash into struggling existing companies and paving the way for new startups in ancillary businesses.
Alkane Truck Company and an established, well-respected company out of Beckley, West Virginia, Glen’s Towing, have inked a new deal to begin the assembly of Class 7 and 8 trucks immediately. Glen’s Towing has the facilities, staffing, equipment and financing to be a valuable and successful partner to Alkane. We look forward to a prosperous partnership with Glen’s Towing and hope other small businesses across the country will see this for the unique opportunity it is.
Alkane is concentrating on sales and marketing—growing our network of established dealerships, as well as pursuing direct sales to fleet owners.
This marks the first time Alkane Truck Company has offered its streamlined business model to independent entrepreneurs. Already notable in the industry for eliminating the extraordinary costs involved in the setup of a standard manufacturing operation, Alkane is rolling out this expansion plan to accelerate its production timeline and respond to orders from its dealership network,
Alkane vehicles are sold worldwide and are available in Gasoline, Diesel, Propane Autogas (LPG), Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG). The company is headquartered in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Alkane Truck Company is currently raising capital on the crowdfunding platform StartEngine.
